Columbia Seminary Invites Neighbors to Review Campus Master Plan on June 2
Columbia Theological Seminary will host a gathering on Wednesday, June 2, at 7:00 p.m., to give Winnona Park neighbors an opportunity to review updates to the seminary’s Campus Master Plan, approved in 2003. The meeting will be held in the Presidents Room of Campbell Hall, located at the main entrance to the campus at 701 South Columbia Drive. Light refreshments will be served.
Seminary representatives will display updated plans for Phase II of the Master Plan, a proposed leadership center. Phase I of the Campus Master Plan was completed last summer with the addition of a new residence hall on Kirk Road. In April, the facility was awarded the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification by the United States Green Building Council. It is the first building in the city of Decatur to achieve LEED Gold Certification (link: New Residence Hall Earns Gold).
The amendment to the comprehensive site plan for the Seminary is on the agenda for the Decatur Planning Commission meeting at 7pm on June 8th.
